The Belief Spotter Guide
Before We Begin

What can I call you?

So this feels like a conversation, not a form.

A Note From Faye
Hi there,

I want to let you in on something I've noticed after years of working with brilliant, capable people: when you keep circling back to the same stuck point, it's rarely about willpower.

There's usually something underneath it, an old belief, formed a long time ago, that's still trying to keep you safe in the only way it knows how. That belief isn't the enemy. It's just outdated information running on a loop.

This isn't a personality test and there's no score at the end. Think of it more like detective work. We're going to follow the clues together, notice what's really going on, and get curious about what might change if you looked at it differently.

Take whatever time you need. You can always come back to this.

Step 1 · Open a New Case

Which area feels most stuck right now?

Choose whichever feels closest today. You're welcome to explore other areas another time.

Choose an area whenever you're ready to continue.
Step 2 · Describe the Pattern

Complete the sentence

There's no need to polish this. First thought, honest thought.

I really want to…
…but I keep…
Step 3 · Possible Protective Beliefs

Do any of these beliefs feel familiar?

Select as many as feel true. There's no right number, and nothing here means anything is wrong with you.

Step 4 · Become the Detective

If these beliefs were trying to protect you…

What might they be protecting you from?

Step 5 · Lift and Shift

Let's lift and shift one of these today

We don't need to solve everything at once. Pick one belief to gently investigate using a simple check: is it True, is it Loving, and what happens when we get Curious.

Pick a belief above whenever you're ready to continue.
The old story says…
True

Is this actually true? What's the evidence it might not be?

Loving

Is this a loving, kind thing to say to yourself?

Curious

Getting curious… maybe another possibility could be…

One small action…

What's one small action you could take in the next 24 hours or this week, to remind yourself of this?

Your Case Notes

Simply reflected back to you, just as you wrote it. No interpretation, no score.
